A new airport and navigation database is available for download inside ForeFlight Mobile for the June 28 – July 27, 2012 period. Some notes about this database:
- AeroNav has temporarily removed route information for the KCLT MERIL6 departure. The instrument procedures for MERIL6 are still available in ForeFlight Mobile, but you will not be able to program the MERIL6 departure in a route on the Maps view. AeroNav will add the MERIL6 departure, along with a related NAVAID change, back to the database for the next data cycle starting on July 27, 2012.
- The fixes KENIL, KERBE, LAIKE, OGSIE, SIBLY, and ZENAH have updated latitudes and longitudes per an FAA safety alert dated June 20.
- As recommended by an FAA safety alert dated June 12, the following departures are omitted from our navigation database: HOKEE2 at KORA, HABUT4 at KSBA, CREPE3 at KSBP, RUUDY4 at KTEB, STACO2 at KTVY, and LOW1 at KWYS. The instrument procedures for these departures are still available for viewing in ForeFlight Mobile, but you will not be able to program these departures in a route on the Maps view.
- We have updated US airway J63 as recommended by an FAA safety alert dated June 1 by adding a point between STOMP and LOXXE at N42-07-15.1, W075-22-04.5.
