Our April Release includes a new Runway Length Filter for airports, Profile Corridor, Logbook Instructor Tools enhancements, W&B Envelope Curtailment, Avian Hazards Forecast, User Waypoint Range Rings, and added Runway Analysis aircraft support.
Airport Runway Length Filter
Declutter the Aeronautical Map by hiding airports with runways shorter than a set length. Access the filter in Map Settings > Airports while the Aeronautical Map is enabled and set a minimum runway length in either feet or meters between 3,000 and 10,000 feet, or 914 and 3,047 meters.
A blue rectangle in the lower-right of the Maps view indicates the current filter length while it’s enabled, and you can tap on this to change or disable the filter along with other Airport settings.
Profile Corridor
Visualize Profile View on the overhead map and easily see the highest hazards near each leg of your route.
Enable either Profile View or Hazard Advisor to activate the corridor.
You can identify the highest obstacle and terrain feature within the corridor on each leg of your route with small markers labeled with their elevations.
Tap on any leg in your route to see the elevations of the highest obstacle and terrain feature along that leg in the detail view.
With Hazard Advisor enabled, the markers are colored yellow or red to indicate their elevation relative to your planned or current altitude and respond to changes to the Hazard Advisor Altitude Slider.
Change when the Corridor appears (automatically with Profile View or Hazard Advisor, always, or never) in Map Settings > Corridor Activation, and change the width of the corridor (8nm by default) both on the map and in Profile View using the Settings cogs in Profile View or Hazard Advisor’s map legend.
Profile Corridor and its related hazard awareness features are available with Pro Plus plans and above.
Logbook Instructor Tools Enhancements
Endorsements listed in Logbook > Instructor Tools > Endorsement Records now include each one’s FAA regulation reference to more easily identify them, and a new search filter at the top of the view makes it easier to find past endorsements.
W&B Envelope Curtailment
Curtail your Weight & Balance envelope to account for variations in passenger weight when using standard weights.
From the Flights view, tap Weight and Balance under the payloads section. Your aircraft for the flight must have a Weight & Balance profile to access W&B Envelope Curtailment.
You will see the new Curtailment Options section below the W&B graph and a Standard Weights switch that adds a dotted curtailment line to the W&B envelope when enabled.
Customize the Standard Deviation used to calculate curtailment in More > Settings > Standard Weights.
W&B Envelope Curtailment is available with all ForeFlight Business and Military Flight Bag subscription plans.
MFB One – Avian Hazards Forecast
Get a consolidated view of all available USAF AHAS forecasts for supported airports.
You can search for an airport in the Airports tab or tap it directly on the map. A bird or bird and mountain icon indicates that an airport supports AHAS forecasts.
Tap the icon to see the military bird forecasts for the next 10 hours, which combine forecasts from NEXRAD, BAM, and SOAR.
Available with ForeFlight’s Military Flight Bag One subscription plan.

MFB One – User Waypoint Range Rings
Identify ROZs, targets, avoidance areas, and more by marking User Waypoints with up to three customizable range rings.
Start by selecting an existing User Waypoint or creating a new one in Custom Content > User Waypoints or directly on the Map. Tap any one of the three Range Ring fields to specify radii values and select a distance unit below: nautical miles, statute miles, or kilometers.
Any waypoints that were created within the app or imported via standalone .csv can also be edited directly from the map. Tap the waypoint, then Edit to add or edit range rings.
Additionally, you can tap any user waypoint with rings to toggle them on/off.
To create Range Rings for User Waypoints imported via .csv, add column headers named RANGERING1, RANGERING2, RANGERING3, and RANGERINGUNIT, and specify the radii for each ring, and the two-character unit names (NM/SM/KM) to define Range Rings for any waypoint in a .csv (learn more about importing User Waypoints via .csv here.
User Waypoint Range Rings are available with ForeFlight’s Military Flight Bag One subscription plan.
