We are pleased to announce that ForeFlight received word today that its application for membership into the General Aviation Manufacturer’s Association (GAMA) was accepted. GAMA is a highly respected industry association devoted to fostering and advancing the general welfare, safety, interests, and activities of general aviation. Membership in GAMA is available to companies that meet certain criteria and requires approval by the GAMA board of directors.
As ForeFlight has grown over the past four years, we have come to appreciate that advocacy is an extremely important part of ensuring that the freedoms and access to aviation infrastructure we have as pilots are preserved. The news of late is replete with stories about government actions that could alter this, make flying more expensive, and affect the safety of flight.
The freedom to fly is special and magical. We look forward to helping shape the future direction of general aviation through ForeFlight’s participation in GAMA.
