During the 2023 EBACE convention and exhibition in Geneva, GainJet, a global private jet charter operator and management company, signed an agreement with ForeFlight, a Boeing company, to adopt ForeFlight’s integrated flight planning and mobile app solutions across its operation. The agreement expands on GainJet’s existing use of Jeppesen charts and NavData solutions to now include ForeFlight Mobile EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) for pilots, ForeFlight Dispatch for flight planners, ForeFlight Runway Analysis for takeoff and landing performance calculations, and ForeFlight Active Navlog for integrated paperless navigation logging.

ForeFlight Dispatch is a next-generation fight planning application that goes beyond simply planning, filing, and monitoring flight plans. From the most basic domestic flights to complex international trips with stringent route constraints, Dispatch produces optimized EUROCONTROL-valid routes with speed and flexibility. Its set of customization and automation capabilities allow flight departments to easily adapt Dispatch to their unique operational needs while saving flight planners time and effort. Dispatch connects to ForeFlight Mobile to transmit new flight plans to assigned crew members in seconds, complete with detailed briefing documents.

Additionally, GainJet will utilize Dispatch’s flexible scheduling integration by connecting it with their flight scheduling system, Leon, to automatically import newly-scheduled flights into Dispatch where flight planners can access them instantly.

ForeFlight’s Active Navlog is the newest addition to its integrated product suite, enabling fully paperless navigation logging directly in the ForeFlight Mobile app. Pilots can record time and fuel actuals, remarks, and more for each waypoint in their route, then add their digital signature before exporting the Navlog as a PDF for sharing. Additionally, ForeFlight Dispatch integrates with Active Navlog to automatically download and store signed Navlogs for effortless compliance with flight record archiving requirements, as well as transmitting fuel at shutdown and block times to an operator’s connected scheduling provider to inform future flight schedules.
