Apple iOS/iPadOS 16 will soon become the minimum-supported operating system for new versions of ForeFlight Mobile. We plan to make this change with an app release later this year.
After the new iOS minimum goes into effect, devices that are not running at least iOS 16 will not be able to install new versions of ForeFlight. However, essential features like monthly chart and data downloads, documents, and account data syncing will continue to work for currently supported app versions listed in this article.
Devices that currently support iOS/iPadOS 15 that will not be able to update to iOS/iPadOS 16 are:
- iPad mini 4
- iPad Air 2
- iPhone 6S
- iPhone 6S Plus
- iPhone 7
- iPhone 7 Plus
- iPhone SE (1st gen)
