Today we launched the ForeFlight Educational Licensing Program (“ELP”), a volume licensing program for accredited aviation programs. This new program provides institutions the ability to offer ForeFlight services at a discount to their faculty and students. We designed the program with the aviation program of Kansas State University Salina and in the process built a suite of online tools program members can use to manage student and faculty eligibility.
The K-State Salina aviation department is raising the bar for the country’s premier aviation programs by providing students access to mobile technologies that enhance learning and prepare students for integrating this technology into their personal and professional flying. From K-State:
“With the increased use of mobile application devices in industry, we determined that our students will have a distinct advantage in their educational experience through the use of this new technology. We are excited to be launching this program with ForeFlight, and look forward to the benefits it will provide our students.”
Program members are provided access to a tailored version of ForeFlight Manage™ that includes features for adding faculty and students to their program and uploading roster information using a bulk import tool. Existing customers and ELP members can access ForeFlight Manage at http://www.foreflight.com/manage.
Does your program have an interest in joining? Have your program administrator send an email to team@foreflight.com with information about your program, including enrollment size and current accreditation. We will be reviewing submissions for inclusion over the coming months as we roll out more partners in the program.
