ForeFlight Checklist Pro 2.0: iPhone Aviation Checklists Take Flight

iPhone Aviation Checklists for Pilots

Today we’re proud to announce ForeFlight Checklist Pro v2.0, Intelligent Checklists for Pilots™.  Checklist Pro 2.0 sets the new standard in iPhone aviation checklists, with a rich web application for editing your checklists online and syncing them to your iPhone or iPod touch.  We worked countless hours to build Checklist Pro to the standard ForeFlight customers expect.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Create checklists on the web and download them to your iPhone or iPod touch at http://checklist.foreflight.com
  • Share checklists with a friend by tapping the ‘Share’ button on the bottom of the main screen
  • Localized in German and Spanish
  • New aircraft templates: Cessna 182RG, Cessna 172R, Cessna 172 G1000, Socata TBM 700-A, Eclipse 500, Piper Arrow PAR-200, Cessna Corvalis 350 and Cessna Corvalis 400 TT
  • New settings for item display preferences, preventing accidental deleting by swiping, reversing the order of the buttons (Check/Skip on right instead of left), and for changing the automatic reset time.  Use the Settings app on the iPhone’s home screen.
  • New pop-up instructions when creating a checklist from scratch
  • Performance improvements and bug fixes

  1. What’s the deal with updates and fixes?
Are they included in the original price?
    For how long?

  2. Yes, updates and fixes come with the purchase. Not sure for how long, but the updates will be free at least until we move to v3.0, if not longer.

    Thanks!

  3. Dear Sirs

I work as an instructor for professional divers at The Norwegian Gouvernmental Diving School in Bergen, Norway. In my 35 years of professional diving I have seen bad and even dangerous checklists and marking of panels etc. I am certain that within aviation you have good philosophy, standards and solutions on these matters. Can you give me some advice on how to find good texts on this?

    • Jan,

I know there has been a good bit of research in CRM (cockpit resource management) over the years, but I’m not aware of any particular research focus on checklist use – but I have no doubt it is out there!

      Take care!

  4. When will foreflight checklist be availabe for the IPad?
I really like the upgrades that Foreflight has taken for the Ipad navigation and this would make me switcth from the flight guide application.
