Our latest release features Helicopter Airways, a GridMORA/LSALT Instrument, Mexico VFR Charts, added Runway Analysis Aircraft Support.
Helicopter Airways
Helicopter operators can now view, plan, and file flight plans that include helicopter-only airways in addition to existing IFR Low airways.
To display the new airways on the Aeronautical Map, go to Map Settings > Airway Settings, and toggle the Helicopter option while in either VFR or IFR Low mode.
Your airway settings are automatically saved, ensuring your preferences are retained for future flights.
Grid MORA/LSALT Instrument
A new instrument lets you easily view the minimum off route altitude (MORA/LSALT) in feet for your location with or without the green map overlay enabled.
Tap on any slot in the ForeFlight Instrument Panel and scroll to the Standard section at the top of the list to find the Grid MORA (Grid LSALT in Australia) instrument.
The MORA/LSALT grid itself can be enabled as a map overlay using the toggle at the bottom of the Aeronautical Settings list.
VFR Charts: Mexico
The Latin America VFR layer now includes government-sourced VFR charts for Mexico, providing local geographical and aeronautical details.
You can add this region to your ForeFlight subscription via the ForeFlight website and select countries in More > Downloads > Region Settings to download charts.
FAA-sourced IFR enroute charts covering the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America are also already available as part of both the Latin America and U.S. regions.
New Runway Analysis Aircraft Support
ForeFlight’s advanced Runway Analysis add-on for turbine aircraft is now available for the Beechcraft King Air 360HW, the Beechcraft King Air 350 with Blackhawk PT6A-67A engines, and the Beechcraft 1900D.
